Everywhere I go I always see the “I Support The Troops” magnets. I just love mindless patriotism! It’s not far from slapping a colorful armband on, as far as I’m concerned. Maybe if all the idiots with the magnets took that money and started a fund for the troops coming home instead of informing us how patriotic they think they are, maybe this would help more than buying patriotic magnets made in China! Vets coming home, but never ever getting home. I wonder how many “Magnet Patriots” have children in Iraq and Afghanistan? Can a magnet express the loss of that child being sent back over and over to this farce of a war created by a farce of a president! The child comes home, but is lost mentally and all we can ever do is ignore them! It’s one thing to have your child come home in a box, but when your child comes home and all you can see is a soul in pain and there is nothing you can do to save them. Maybe if all the “Magnet Patriots” knew what love is, this problem would be solved. “Magnet Patriots” only like to hug the heroes, the guys coming home with pain are to be shunned. Now suicides of returning troops are also up. Gee, maybe some marketing genius will come up with a magnet for that one! Keep waving the flags guys, because all you’re doing is waving goodbye to the United States that once was.
