CS2 members,
It’s your turn to write…
THIS MONTH
Comment below on anything dealing with Obama’s choices as he fills out his administration:
- What do you think about the quality of Obama’s picks?
- Are these picks what you expected?
- Do these picks represent change or the status quo?
- Anything . . .
Be heard…

Tom Me comments:
What I notice most about Obama’s choices isn’t as much his choices as how the media is covering it. The news seems to be treating it like a big winter blizzard is coming when in reality it’ll just be some small snow flurries. That is, over the years I’ve noticed how news media (esp. TV “news”) will hype up a forecast of snow and make it like something really really big is in the future, just to boost their ratings – so you’ll stay tuned, or tune in, just to get you to watch.
Oh, of course, Obama’s choices are important – but to the extent the “news” puts it under a microscope (often a broken microscope at that), and dissects every detail (even seemingly imagined details not so based in reality), seems more of a “watch us” ploy, than a dry and accurate report. Yeah I don’t see a blizzard of good info on the subject (more subjectivity than info) – I only see a snowflake here and there of pure news.
What concerns me more so is what Bush is doing – his choices. For he’s been busy appointing people in positions that Obama can’t undo. I’m not speaking of Obama’s cabinet of course, but still, where Bush is putting “his” people makes me wonder how much longer do we have to deal with the Bush dynasty (or as some may call it, the Reagan/Bush dynasty – or as I like to think of it: the Reagan/Bush/oil dynasty) – UG !

Continuity You Will Not Even Be Critical Of. Was that the campaign slogan Obama ran under? Oh yeah, that’s right; it was Change You Can Believe In.
Everyone of Obama’s picks so far (with possible exception of Richardson) shows me that you all were taken. Again. There’s no change here and if you had been astute enough to dig beyond the rhetoric you would have seen that.
But that is the SOP of the faux “left”. Never look too deep and when all else fails, vote for the “lesser of two evils”. Which only rewards and perpetuates evil.

I actually think Obama’s picks are kind of interesting. I don’t find them too disappointing at all. It only seems like he is setting things up just the way he said that he would. The complainers seem to forget the things that Obama has said. I only wonder about his choice to pick Hillary. That there choice is a strange one. Very strange. Personally, I think she sucks (no pun intended), but even Hillary fans might hate her in this capacity. After all, doesn’t it mean that she won’t be a presidential candidate come next election (for me, that might be the only benefit).

Curious, since I fail to see how we get CHANGE, whether it be change we can believe in or not, to occur when Obama brings back into power (government) all the same old people who got us into this mess over the past 20 years!
To me, and perhaps it’s just me but I doubt it, believed that Obama’s slogan MEANT he wasn’t going to be another Corporate America First Democrat like Bill Clinton was. Remember, this slogan evolved out of the Primary election contest with Hillary after all.
Now if you’re a liberal or a progressive in the sense that you are liberal but lack the courage to publicly express it, then how do you believe in Obama’s picks for these most powerful of political appointments?
Then again, I am sure there are plenty of “I only love money Democrats” just like there are plenty of similar Republicans, and to them, Obama truly is THEIR SAVIOR…
Think about it. Don’t just blindly HOPE!
