Before CommonSense2 began — on January 27, 2007 to be exact, The Harrisburg Patriot News ran a story entitled “Democrats give some staffers bonuses” which detailed a letter written by then state House Majority Leader H. William DeWeese to staffers, each accompanied by a check.
