I’ve heard several attempts to explain why it was that Democrats had such a poor showing in this year’s election – frustration with Congress, frustration with President Obama, low turnout in off-year elections, difficulty beating incumbents, etc. I’m not buying it.

The GOP crimes involved “two distinct criminal conspiracies,” Corbett said. The first of those alleged conspiracies is that under the direction of Perzel, the House Republican caucus repeatedly contracted with the same two companies, using millions of taxpayer dollars, to build the complex software they allegedly used to try to influence elections. Corbett also alleges that evidence was removed and forged by some of those indicted in an effort to obstruct the investigation.
